केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री Ashwini Vaishnaw ने रेलवे टिकटिंग सिस्टम में बड़े बदलावों की घोषणा की है, जिसका उद्देश्य पारदर्शिता बढ़ाना और यात्रियों को बेहतर सुविधा देना है। नए नियमों के तहत तत्काल टिकट बुकिंग को अधिक सुरक्षित और निष्पक्ष बनाने के लिए आधार-आधारित OTP वेरिफिकेशन और एंटी-बॉट तकनीक लागू की गई है, जिससे फर्जी बुकिंग और एजेंटों की पकड़ कम होगी।
इसके साथ ही टिकट कैंसिलेशन नियमों में भी बड़ा बदलाव किया गया है। अब यदि यात्री ट्रेन छूटने से 8 घंटे पहले तक टिकट रद्द करते हैं, तो उन्हें किसी प्रकार का रिफंड नहीं मिलेगा। यह नियम यात्रियों को समय पर निर्णय लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगा और खाली सीटों के बेहतर उपयोग में मदद करेगा।
रेलवे का कहना है कि इन सुधारों से टिकटिंग प्रक्रिया अधिक पारदर्शी, सुरक्षित और उपयोगकर्ता के अनुकूल बनेगी, जिससे आम यात्रियों को सीधा लाभ मिलेगा।
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced major changes to the railway ticketing system aimed at improving transparency and passenger convenience. Under the new rules, Tatkal ticket booking will be made more secure and fair through Aadhaar-based OTP verification and the implementation of anti-bot technology. These measures are expected to curb fraudulent bookings and reduce the dominance of agents.
In addition, there has been a significant change in ticket cancellation rules. Passengers will no longer receive any refund if they cancel their tickets up to 8 hours before the train’s departure. This rule is intended to encourage timely decision-making and ensure better utilization of vacant seats. The Railways stated that these reforms will make the ticketing process more transparent, secure, and user-friendly, ultimately benefiting common passengers
